In the case of Land Rovers, when you have chosen a vehicle and due to us specialising in them we offer a number of additional options that can be fitted prior delivery at low cost - for UK customers visiting us these can be seen on display in our showrooms. Choose any extras you would like including alloy wheel upgrades - leather interior -and security upgrades, as well as after care products, to look after your investment. If you are based in the UK and wish to ship the vehicle(s) yourself this is not a problem. We can deliver your vehicle to your chosen UK address free of charge so you can make you own arrangements

B:- Specialist Cars “African fasttrack” subsidised shipping (UK and overseas customers)

The vehicle(s) will be delivered by road to the required port, in the case of roll on roll services to the UK port of Tilbury, London, it  the case of container shipments to the UK port of Felixstowe.

There are a number of different shipping options.

Roll on roll off :- (***** BEST VALUE *****)

The car will be driven on the boat by qualified trained shipping staff, securely strapped down to the deck and unstrapped and driven off the other side. This is the most cost effective way and the most popular costing from just £699.00 per vehicle

Container for 1 vehicles :-

Some people prefer the car to be in a container, in this case the vehicle will be loaded into its own individual 20ft shipping container, once in it will be strapped in securely and the container sealed before been loaded onto the boat. The cost of this is from £1299.00 for 1 container for 1 car.

Container for 2 vehicles :-

If you are buying more than 1 vehicle they can be both shipped together in a larger container, in this case the container is 40ft and will hold 2 vehicles, they again will be strapped in securely at the UK port and the container sealed before been loaded onto the ship. The cost of this is from £1799.00 for 1 container for both cars.

Container for 3 vehicles :-

As above, but this container is 40ft HQ, (larger type) and will hold 3 vehicles, the cost is from £2299.00 for 1 container for all 3 cars

If based in the UK, checking availability can be done very simply and quickly by telephone (01423 358686), fax (01423 35917), or e-mail sales@africars.co.uk  and ordering can be done in person when visiting us at our dealership. We take most types of payment including sterling cash, bankers draft, cheques (subject to clearance) and most major credit or debit cards. For UK customers we give travel incentives of up to 100% of your travel costs involved in coming to see us if a vehicle is purchased.

If ordering from overseas just simply fill in the attached “request a quote” form to check availability of a vehicle(s), and detail any extras you require with the/each vehicle, and finally the preferred shipping option, with details of where you require the vehicle(s) to be shipped to. On receipt of this our team will fax or e-mail a detailed no obligation quote and if you are happy with this let us know and we will fax or e-mail a pro-forma invoice back to you. This will detail the cost of the vehicle(s), any extras, shipping costs and payment details (payment on overseas orders are made by direct bank transfer). At this point the vehicle(s) will be reserved for 7 days while payment is received and processed. During this time we will arrange shipping and book the vehicle(s) in for any pre-sale servicing and pre-delivery inspection procedures.

Once payment is made in the case of UK orders, or we have confirmation of payment in the case of overseas orders the transportation or shipping bookings will be finalised and paid for by us, the vehicle(s) in question will then be serviced, pre-delivery inspected and have any extras which you have purchased fitted. For UK deliveries arranging their own shipping our transport section will contact you and arrange delivery by UK road of your vehicle(s) to the required address. For overseas customers a receipt of payment and delivery schedule will be e-mailed or faxed which will give details of shipping arrangements including collection from us, details of the shipping company and booking ref, their agent handling the shipping, also the estimated time and date of dispatch from the UK and arrival in Africa so it can be collected from the relevant port by you.

Your vehicle will be transported by car transporter to your address in the UK, if overseas to the UK ports of Tilbury for roll-on roll-off services or Felixstowe in the case of container shipping, where our agents will handle the UK export paperwork, and customs clearance, UK customs will then oversee the car been loaded onto the boat for departure to Africa. Boats leave the UK approximately every 10 days Once departed from UK shores they are at sea for just over 2 weeks before arrival to Africa, some ports in Africa take a little longer for delivery. With UK deliveries original documents will be dropped off with your vehicle(s) if not already given to you at the point of sale. For overseas sales copies of the UK vehicle documents and shipping documents will be faxed or e-mailed to you and the original vehicle documents and receipt of sale will be sent by worldwide courier service. These will be required so you can register the vehicle after being collected from the receiving port.

on resale they obtain the same or more than they originally paidA short while later your new car will have arrived and a vast and massive saving on your purchase  made - in many cases up to 50% on similar cars for sale in parts of Africa. Along separately with the car will be all of the documentation required to register the car, it will have been serviced and pre-delivery inspected. Following registration it will be ready for you to use and enjoy!!!

An interesting point to note, our research has showed now that many customers have found after 2/3 years of use, on resale they obtain the same or more than they originally paid for the vehicle, which effectively equated to free motoring!!!!
